Removals in Worthing (BN11–BN14), West Sussex
Wolves Removals carries out house removals in Worthing and across BN11 to BN14, working the town from our own base at Ashington — 10 miles up the A24, under 20 minutes on a clear run. We are a family-run West Sussex firm, moving households since 2016, fully insured, Checkatrade-verified and a LAPADA Approved Service Provider. The town moves differently from the villages behind it. 35% of its households are flats against 22% across England, and 22% of residents are 65 or over (Census 2021), so a seafront apartment with a booked service lift and a bungalow downsize in Ferring are both everyday work for our crews. Every move starts with a free video or in-home survey. The fixed, itemised written quote follows within 24 hours, and the figure does not move on the day. Call 01903 893731, seven days, 07:00–22:00.

Professional Removals in Worthing
We’re a family-run West Sussex firm working Worthing from our Ashington base, ten miles up the A24, and we’ve been moving households since 2016. Most of what we carry across the town is house moves — a mansion-block flat behind the seafront, a three-bed semi in Durrington, a downsizer heading for a bungalow at Ferring — and we plan each one around the address rather than a fixed package.
One coordinator looks after your move from the first survey to the last box. We’re fully insured, Checkatrade-verified and a LAPADA Approved Service Provider. We run our own operator-licensed lorries and our own crews, from small vans through to 18-tonne with trailer.

About Worthing
Worthing is a town of roughly 111,000 people, running east from the Goring Gap with the Downs closing it off to the north. House moves here divide by postcode more than by size. BN11 is the centre and the seafront — Regency and Victorian terraces, mansion blocks and the new flats planned around Union Place. BN12 is Goring-by-Sea and Ferring, pre-war crescents and bungalows. BN13 covers Durrington and High Salvington, with large detached houses on the hill. BN14 is Broadwater and the road out to Findon, family semis and 1930s estates.
Whatever the postcode, the core of our work is the full house removal: survey, packing the day before if you book it, floors protected, load, drive, unload, and beds rebuilt if you add it. Office moves and storage are part of the offer too. As a removal company working Worthing every week, we fix your quote in writing after we have seen the house, not over the phone.
Local knowledge still counts where a lorry has to stand. West Tarring keeps its village High Street, too narrow for a large lorry to stand comfortably. Heene Terrace on the seafront dates from 1865, and in a converted block one shared lift can set the pace of the whole day. We size the vehicle and the crew at survey, not on the morning, so a 7.5-tonne and a shuttle are already on the plan where a big lorry would not fit.

What Every Move Includes
Accreditation that fits the work
LAPADA Approved Service Provider, Checkatrade-verified, fully insured. Rated 5.0 from 624 reviews.
Our own crew, start to finish
The people who survey your home are the people who wrap and load it.
The vehicle that fits the street
We run everything from small vans to 18-tonne with trailer, so a tight seafront approach and a five-bedroom Durrington move each get the vehicle that actually fits.
Cover in writing
Goods-in-transit and public liability cover in place. Optional full damage insurance at 10% of the invoice total for higher-value or fragile items.
Downsizing into a Flat or Bungalow
Many retirement flats here are purpose-built, and each block runs to its own routine. Expect one shared entrance, a lift that may just take a wardrobe end-on, and a loading window agreed with the manager rather than a free kerb outside. Examples include Neptune House and Wyresdale House on Heene Road, Lindfield Place on Farncombe Road, Downsview Manor on Cissbury Road, Walnut Tree Place on Goring Street. We confirm the lift size and book the window before your date is fixed.
A downsize often includes a piece of real value — a bureau, a longcase clock, a painting that has hung on the same wall for forty years. Wolves began in the antiques trade before we were movers, and we remain a LAPADA Approved Service Provider. Our house clearance service can clear the old house once you have moved, and unpacking at the new flat means the bed is made before we leave.

Seafront Flats, Parking Bays and Access
Worthing’s centre and seafront sit inside controlled parking zones. Zones A, B and C, the town centre and outer town centre, are enforced Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm. The outer zones D to N are permit-only between 10 and 11 in the morning and 2 and 3 in the afternoon. Where a lorry needs to stand in a marked bay, Adur & Worthing Councils can suspend it for a house move: five working days’ notice, £45 for each ten-metre bay, plus £10 a day for each pay-and-display bay, applied for through the MiPermit portal. We check the street at survey and make the application ourselves, so the bay outside your door can be held for your slot.
Our crews come in from the north on the A24, meet the A27 at the Offington Corner roundabout and follow it to Grove Lodge, where the A24 turns south for the centre. Adur & Worthing Councils say the A27 has been identified as one of the most unreliable trunk roads in England, and the Government cancelled the £20m Worthing and Lancing scheme in August 2024. We build slack into every seafront slot.

Where a home sits in the range depends on volume, distance, access, how much packing and unpacking you want us to do, and what is in the loft and garage. Moving to Worthing
Many of the households we bring in are leaving Brighton and Hove or London for more house per pound. Five stations serve the town and the fastest direct train to London Victoria takes under an hour and a half. A London or Brighton move into the town is normally a single day for us, and if the new place is not ready our secure containerised storage holds a full household, or just the overflow, until it is. Our guide to moving to Worthing covers the areas and schools in more detail.

Removal and Storage Services
From Survey to Last Box
A Worthing move starts with a free survey — a video walkthrough on your phone, which takes ten to fifteen minutes, or an in-person visit. We walk every room, count cartons by size, photograph the difficult corners, and check access at both ends, including where a lorry can legally stand and whether a bay needs suspending. The written quote follows within 24 hours, itemised line by line, so packing, materials, insurance and specialist handling are visible separately rather than rolled into one number. Your booking is confirmed on receipt of any agreed deposit, with the balance due on completion, and one coordinator runs the job from first survey to last box.
Typical Moves Around the Town
Bungalow and retirement-flat downsizing
Family house in Goring or Tarring to a bungalow at Ferring or East Preston. Our most-quoted Worthing job.
Seafront and town-centre flats
Period stairwells, restricted bays, one small lift. We measure it at survey, not on the day.
London ↔ Worthing
We run this route every week — retirees heading south, families trading a flat for a garden. One day, both directions.
Family-home relocations
Three- and four-bed semis across Durrington, Salvington and Broadwater. Full crew, full day.
Whole-house clearances
Alongside the move or on their own. See house clearance.
Worthing ↔ inland West Sussex
Out to Storrington, Steyning or Horsham. Ground we cover daily.

Summer on the Seafront
The seafront funfair and the Worthing Lions Summer Festival at the end of July bring crowds to the seafront. If your date lands on one, we plan the load around it.

Worthing Removals — Your Questions Answered
From about £350 for a one-bed to £1,500–£2,200 for a four-bed, plus VAT — these are guide bands, not a quote. A free survey turns the band into your own fixed, itemised written figure.
No. Our base is at Ashington, ten miles north up the A24; there is no Wolves depot in the town itself. It is one of our most regular runs, and the survey, the crew and the lorry all come from the same yard.
Yes, with or without a lift. Where there is a service lift we measure it and book the loading window with the building before the date is fixed; where there is not, the carry is measured at survey and the crew sized to match.
In the centre and along the seafront, usually yes. Adur & Worthing Councils can suspend marked bays for house moves with five working days’ notice, from £45 per ten-metre bay through MiPermit. We check the street at survey and make the application for you.
Yes — it is a large part of our work in the town. We pack, move and unpack, agree lift and loading times with the block manager in advance, and our house clearance service can clear the old house once you have moved.
Yes. Uprights and grands are regular work for our crews, including from upper-floor flats and seafront stairwells, with the right boards, straps and crew for the weight. See our piano moving service.
Yes. Wolves Removals is a LAPADA Approved Service Provider, and antique furniture, pictures and ceramics are wrapped, cased where needed and carried by crews who handle them every week.
We plan chain days backwards from the keys release. If completion slips by hours we hold the load; if it slips by days, everything goes into short-term storage and comes back out when you have the keys.
Yes. Dismantling and reassembly can be added to any move, alongside our packing service or on its own, so the beds are made up in the new house before we leave.
Goods-in-transit and public liability cover in place, with optional full damage insurance at 10% of your invoice total for higher-value or fragile items.
Ask as soon as you have a likely completion date. We move seven days a week, and weekends and month-ends fill first; a booking is confirmed on receipt of any agreed deposit.
